Congratulations on a fabulous informative website, I have admired to Whippet for some time now, we live in Apollo Bay just off the Great Ocean Road, great spot for long runs, walks and swims on the beach for dog and human! I am taking my time researching the breed and also reputable breeders, you must be comended on such fine looking dogs, bitches and pups! I hope to be owned by a whippet in the near future!
I have owned 3 whippets during my lifetime and all that i can say is that the experience was great. I was reared in a family that bread and raced greyhounds and when I first saw a whippet It was love at first sight. I regard them as beautiful, sculptured , capable creatures, an absolute pleasure to have in company. My last whippet died in 2005 and I am still in mourning. It is great to see you promote this regal breed and make them available through your breeding program. I would like to drop in sometime in the future when in Melbourne. Cheers Kevin.
It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday (at the Mega Pet Store in Epping) and as you can see John and I are very passionate about dogs. Im not training dogs at present which is why we didnt have any cards on us but it is something I want to get back into (sooner rather than later).
Thanks again and btw your website is great — and such gorgeous dogs too — love the puppy snaps. Good luck with it all and who knows, maybe we’ll bump into each other again.
Dear Collin,
Thankyou for the advise you gave my mother and I on what to feed our pregnent little girl. she seems to be enjoying the purina, well worth the money.
thanks again -Hannah
Hello to all at Ibiza,
Have thoroughly enjoyed my e-visit! Great website - easy to navigate, lovely clear pics of your beautiful dogs and excellent information.
Every dog breed has its fans but whippets remain my favourite - beautiful, sweet natured, graceful, intelligent and easy to groom - what a combination!
Was introduced to my first whippet 25 years ago and have loved them ever since.
Our 2 whippets, Arrow & Zip, were not show dogs (no pedigree papers) and we never bred them but they were very much loved members of the family and we still miss them.
We are looking forward to welcoming another couple to the family when the opportunity arises. We love the solid colours (our 2 were solid fawn with that lovely dark ‘eyeliner’ which ehanced their golden eyes so well) but ALL whippets are beautiful - they just can’t help it, can they?
Warmest best wishes to you and to all whippet lovers,
Amy
Am a repeat visitor to your site, love it, its well presented & your dogs are really something special. Sure hope your still breeding whippets when the time comes for me to get a couple… especially love your solid coloured & parti coloured dogs.
All the best Matt
I retired 18 months ago and my wife and I have thought about a companion dog for a while. Christine still works and may for a few more years.
I was thinking about a retrained greyhound but a couple of weeks ago I saw a Whippet and immediately liked the breed. Can you keep me informed about litters if I meet your owner criteria.
Hi Colin,
This is an awesome site. One of the most user friendly & professional dog sites on the net! I stumbled across it about a year ago and have been checking it out at least once a month ever since. Love your dogs especially the solids & parti coloured ones. I sure hope you continue with your breeding program would love to get a pup or two from you sometime next year.
All the best Mat
You have very interesting solid coloured Whippets; I am a regular visitor at your site = )
By the way, we have a lovely bitch from Malin, Macawe Moon Princess Leia.
Best wishes and good luck for your breeding work!
I thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit at your homepage. You have charming solid coloured Whippets but sadly you are so far away from us. We also breed Whippets and own a lovely bitch Macawe Moon Princess Leia from Malin Westlie.
Good luck for your breeding in the future!
Best wishes,
Mari and Besties Whippets from Finland
We are in Perth Western Australia and are interested in purchasing a Whippet within the next 18ths if we find a breeder, as we would really prefer a solid colour. We would also like to give showing ago as we have done a little with our Cane Corso. I would love to hear from you if you have any litters planned and continue to chat!
Very interesting website. I am very keen to acquire a whippet in the future a will keep watching your website. I ran into Glenys with her lovely dog Smokey in Ocean Grove a few weeks back and she has sold me on whippets, he is a dear dog.
I am currently in the process of selling and moving house - so I am a few months off getting a dog, but I will keep watching your website.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Well done on winning five Classes in Group in one day at the Canberra Autum Internation Festival, including the Runner Up Best In Group. Keep up the great work!
Hi Colin,
I hope you remember me. We spoke on the phone but, until now, I have not signed your guestbook.
I think the value of this website is testament to the dedication and love you have for your whippets and I find myself returning back to it time and time again. I can’t wait to have a whippet (….or two) of my very own.
Sarah
Loved your website. I too love solid colour whippets. I have two, a fawn and a red with black masks, which give them a quite distinctive look. My absolute favourite is blue. I found it hard to find solid colours and do not understand why there are not more, they are truly lovely.
we are a new owner of a whippet puppy. We live in Rockhampton, Central Queensland and bought her from a registered breeder near Mackay called Lana of Aslan Kennels. We don’t intend to breed her or even show her at this stage. love your site.
Colin, thankyou for all the puppy information, so very grateful to have some practical knowledgeable adivce. Awesome website, well designed, functional and user friendly. The pics of your dogs are just stunning (as are the dogs). thankyou again, Kerry

Colin,
Saw your beautiful black whippets at the Melb Show. Already have 2 whippets of my own but soon as I’m ready for the next one will be knocking on your door for a black or blue one.
Thanks for your help the other night….I really appreciated it.
I am now on the net…..you can now contact me on this email address
Have you heard from Patsy??
Hi Colin,
Just a quick note to let you know all is well in Sydney - haven’t shown Trin since May, as I broke my leg, required surgery, and although up and about, am still limping due to complications with the surgical wound not healing. Anyway, she has her first show back in two weeks, so should be fun.
Wish you had let me know you were rehoming Brodie - he was such a delight when he spent a week with me, I would have loved the opportunity to show him up here
Cheers
Karen
I loved your solid black whippet. Just browsed the website, I am currently owned and loved by a chocolate labrador whom I show and hope to trial at a later date when she is mature enough. My 8 year old son is taken with dogs and showing he accompanies me to training each week and every show. He desperately wants to show Fudge but I feel that she is too strong for him (after all she is only a baby herself at 10 months). My husband and I are currently looking for a smaller breed to adopt so that Zarrad (my son) has the opportunity to show and learn.
We don’t know much about whippets and their temprement (my husband favours Italian Greyhounds), but I have four children (the youngest nearly 3 years) and I need a breed that will slip easily into our lifestyle and not be intimidated by the noise that is our life. What can you tell us?
I am sorry if I have rambled, but your website tells me that you care about your chosen breeds welfare rather than the dollar value (sadly something that I am finding is increaslingly common).
Thank you for the time you spent discussing whippets with me, and for your advice and help in locating a whippet pup to join our family. Your dedication and knowledge is inspiring, and you are obviously very passionate about your animals.
Your website is extremely professional and a pleasure to read. All the best for your future endeavours in breading such lovely animals.
Hallo
Your Web site is very nice site with lots of beautiful photos! - I enjoyed browsing your site! In my country (Lithuania, Europe) my whippet is single black whippet in all Baltic states.. Its sad..
Good luck for you and your Ibiza whippets
I currently own a fawn whippet of 10 years. He has been such a wonderful pet and part of our family. I love the color of your breed and wondered if there are any in the U.S.? I’m looking for a female solid blue, or a fawn with minimal markings. Thank you for your time.
How are you Colin? Rykky is now 3 weeks into obedioence training at barkley square on sundays in Kyneton, and he is just out shining everyone not only in looks but also in his ability to learn so dam quick, Ive never been so pleased with one animal. Rykky is teaching all the other dogs his new learnrd manners aswell. I hope to catch up so our dogs can have a bowl around soon. Thank you again and always
regards Cassie Wilkinson
This is one of the best dog websites I have seen. I’ve found myself regulary googling “ibiza whippets” since I found it a few weeks ago. (it’s now in my favourites.) The dogs are beautiful and I keep checking the weblog for more.
I called you on your mobile on monday night after information about your black whippets price and availability. When the time is right I would like to purchase one. I will contact you in the future. I could tell by our conversation that you are a true admirer of the breed. Any way I,ll keep in touch. Cheers Kevin.
Remarkable dogs Colin. I didn`t know Whippets got so colourful. I see what you mean about the world champ… nice lines from what I can tell. Cheers, William.
I have just recently been introduced to this wonderful breed. My husband and I are looking forward to our fisrt whippet. We would like a single colour whippet. How difficult are these to come by?
Many thanks for your email re new litter.
I am interested in a girl. I was wondering if I can choose? Could you please send me pictures of the girls available.
I love the quietness, independence and loyalty of whippets. The most beautiful dogs in the world!
I live on the waterfront at Salamander Bay, NSW.
Would be ready for a girl after July 5 /06
Hoping to hear from you soon
hi Colin
Just been crusin through your site. Those photos we took the other day came up a treat and the ones from ANZAC day by Caroline also look smashing.
See you tomorrow,
Robyn
Hi Colin,
I just saw more pics of IBBI in your photo gallery. WoW.. What a spunk. You know I’m not into brindles much, but going from those photos of him at AQIS, he looks very special!!. He reminds me of Sandy quite alot, just with stripes, and his eyes are so dark - great! Im coming up Sunday so will talk then - cya, Gian
Still undecided about a puppy and perhaps when next in Melbourne we can visit you. Thank you for emailing the information, please continue to keep me up todate.
Regards
Ive been following your work with coloured whippets for a while now and I must say that your two “jason” offspring are simply stunning! In my opionion they are the best blacks Ive ever seen - and thats not many might I mention.
May I be presumptious to assume that you will use your new import over freda? If so, when the time is right, I would like very much to have a resulting puppy!
The new photos of freda and renaldo are stunning so keep them coming! They look like strong confident whippets.
enjoyed going through your site. the picture of Darcy was great. Look forward to seeing you soon. Take care and also, loved the pictures of the babies. Also looking forward to seeing your import in the ring. Donna
Hello Colin
“Finally” they arrived safely in Australia, Monet and Ibbi. Thank you for all the wonderful pictures you sent me from their first day “down under”.
I wish you the best of luck with Ibbi in the future.
Warmest regards,
Morgan and the rest of Ibb’s relatives in Sweden
Hello!
This was a really great website! It’s interesting to see breeding of black whippets, we haven’t got so many of them around here.
Well done breeding - and thumbs up for the future as well!!
Best wishes from Monica
Your site looks even better than last time I visited! Lovely dogs. Congratulations on your new Swedish pup! Hope you are well. My best wishes, Sara says hi to her litter sister and Jesse sends kisses to “uncle Colin” too!
Your web site is amazing, you have left no stone unturned and your dogs are a real credit to you they look fantastic!
Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Hi, we really enjoyed your web page, mainly the black and blue whippets, great.
Paula is the breeder of Magnus. Ben will be judging in Australia in April ‘07 in Sydney and Jan/Feb ‘08 Melbourne. Hopefully catch up with you sometime. Kind regards, Ben and Paula.
Hi Colin
Great to talk to you the other day, though the location was not ideal. I love your whippets, especially Valdassa Viva Ibiza and Dreamstar Lady Love. They are gorgous. Please keep me posted on coming litters, especially from the above mentioned dogs.
Hi there, just love what youre doing … I think the solid colour whippets look stunning too and your great new website really shows them off. You have the most informative and professional whippet website in Australia. I wish others would take your lead .. it certainly helps in the process of finding puppies. We have a georgous 18 month old fawn and white parti colour girl who we would like a male companion for. Please keep me posted on the availablility of puppies from the ‘K’ litter.
Regards Camille.
Congratulation on the safe arrival of the K litter.
Great to hear that all are doing well and just beautiful!
Can’t wait to see more updates.
Kind Regards
Michelle
Thank you very much for the update on your black whippet puppies. I still vey much want to have either a solid black, a solid blue, or black/white or blue/white. I wish I was in a position now to acquire a new puppy. I currently have a 9 month old female fawn/parti-colour and would love a whippet male companion for her. My plan is to acquire a male puppy when the time is right, and then depending on the age of my female at that time, I would keep an open mind about whether I wanted to let her have a litter.
However, right now it would be difficult to have another dog as my partner who lives with me has 2 [ageing terriers]. They get along very well with the whippet but they are not energetic enough for her and sometimes get grumpy when she wants to play. As we live in suburbia, I would be pushing my luck to have a 4th dog on the premises. The terriers won’t live for ever, of course, and as soon as there is room for a puppy I will fill the space. Please keep me informed about your litters.
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE BIRTH OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL IBIZA WHIPPETS, THEY LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL AND HEALTHY AND THEY LOOK TO BE A GOOD SIZE AS WELL. HAVE THEY ALL BEEN SPOKEN FOR.
Thanks for emailing photos of your new litter. I think they are absolutley gorgeous, beautiful little faces. I love reading your site it is very informative for someone who is a novice in whippets. Congratulations and please keep up your great work.
Regards
Dear Colin,
Congratulations on the new arrivals. Glad to hear all are doing well.
I’m looking forward to seeing the photos and hearing more.
I hope to come and visit some time soon.
Best wishes

Hi Colin
What a wonderful contribution your website is to the “world of the whippet”. It is interesting, entertaining and informative to all those who have an interest in sight hounds and particularly for newcomers. Congratulations. I’m sure the time and effort that you have contributed to set up and maintain this website is appreciated by many enthusiasts like myself. Look forward to catching up again soon.
Hello Colin
You have a very nice website with much of interest to me. I have a full sister to Statuesque Fleete Feet (Harroway Rumba) via a generous gesture of Frank and Lee some years ago when they sent me Barn Dance in whelp, so I am very interested to note how you have blended those lines into your breeding program. Rumba is a much loved retiree now, along with another Person grandson, who enjoy the pleasures of the garden and lounge in full measure. Cheers, Pam
I’ve found a little more time today to look at your photo gallery and there are some beautiful shots here. Your new home looks pretty impressive as well.
We hope to catch up with you and Gian soon and I’m sure you’ll both be happy with how young Felix is going. He is bringing lots of pleasure to our household and I feel very fortunate to have found you and to have been accepted into your extended family.
Absolutely beautiful. I have been searching for quality solid color whippets and for the life of me could not figure out why they were so rare and next to impossible to find. I’ve been doing research on the breed for a while now, but I am starting at square one and have never owned a sight hound so all of this is new to me. My question to you is the fact that I am all the way over here in the States and was wondering if by any chance you know or could refer me to any breeders that take your same interest and perspective in the breed. I am located in Hampton Virginia, USA and any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Efosa Morgan silverhaez22@yahoo.com / or efosa.osaghae-morgan@langley.af.mil
Hi Colin
Your site is inspirational and an excellent source of reference on the breed. It also provides a sound starting point for those thinking of acquiring a whippet puppy (like us). I am impressed that you have put in so much time and care with the site to ensure that the puppies go to great homes and their families are well prepared to care for them appropriately.
The photos are very glamorous, showing off your beautiful dogs.
Best wishes
Cindy
Hi Colin
I am very impressed by your website, there is a wealth of useful information on here. I have been visiting regularly to check for updates on Maria and Galahad’s future litter. By the way I loved the photo gallery especially the shots of the birthday party. I bet there’s a tale or two from that day! haha
You have the most beautiful Whippets and I look forward to meeting you all soon
Kind Regards

Thank you for your time.

Dear Colin
Thank you for the time you spent discussing whippets with me, and for your advice and help in locating a whippet pup to join our family. Your dedication and knowledge is inspiring, and you are obviously very passionate about your animals.
Your website is extremely professional and a pleasure to read. All the best for your future endeavours in breading such lovely animals.

I currently own a fawn whippet of 10 years. He has been such a wonderful pet and part of our family. I love the color of your breed and wondered if there are any in the U.S.? I’m looking for a female solid blue, or a fawn with minimal markings. Thank you for your time.

Best whishes and I will be in touch

Hi there, just love what youre doing … I think the solid colour whippets look stunning too and your great new website really shows them off. You have the most informative and professional whippet website in Australia. I wish others would take your lead .. it certainly helps in the process of finding puppies. We have a georgous 18 month old fawn and white parti colour girl who we would like a male companion for. Please keep me posted on the availablility of puppies from the ‘K’ litter.

January 20th, 2006 at 7:41 pm
Great site and interesting story. Keep up the good work.
January 19th, 2006 at 4:31 pm
Cheers, Pam

Hi Colin,
I’ve found a little more time today to look at your photo gallery and there are some beautiful shots here. Your new home looks pretty impressive as well.
We hope to catch up with you and Gian soon and I’m sure you’ll both be happy with how young Felix is going. He is bringing lots of pleasure to our household and I feel very fortunate to have found you and to have been accepted into your extended family.
cheers Sarah

Absolutely beautiful. I have been searching for quality solid color whippets and for the life of me could not figure out why they were so rare and next to impossible to find. I’ve been doing research on the breed for a while now, but I am starting at square one and have never owned a sight hound so all of this is new to me. My question to you is the fact that I am all the way over here in the States and was wondering if by any chance you know or could refer me to any breeders that take your same interest and perspective in the breed. I am located in Hampton Virginia, USA and any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Best wishes
